How you’ll make an impact

Leverage your expertise in agricultural and commercial lending, credit analysis and risk mitigation to evaluate and approve lending opportunities while supporting sound credit decisions.

 

As Senior Credit Manager, you’ll review and approve complex loan applications, assess risks, verify compliance with credit policies and provide advice on financing solutions. Your strong expertise in financial analysis and credit risk management will enable you to support lending decisions, review exceptions and recommend measures to help maintain a healthy loan portfolio.

What you’ll do

  • Evaluate and authorize complex agricultural and commercial lending proposals that exceed established lending authorities.
  • Review source documents, financial information and loan recommendations to support credit decisions.
  • Assess administrative requests, including loan amendments, changes to security and policy exceptions.
  • Assess compliance with enterprise credit risk policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to lending staff and credit specialists.
  • Work with business partners, contribute to credit quality reviews and support credit-related training initiatives.

 

What you’ll bring to the team

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, agriculture or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial or agricultural lending or both
  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian agriculture and credit risk management practices
  • Proven expertise in assessing loan applications and analyzing financial statements, working capital and cash flow
  • Proven ability to evaluate complex lending opportunities and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and providing technical guidance to loan specialists
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational and decision-making skills
  • Strong bilingual (English and French) communication skills, both written and verbal, topresentinformation

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience delivering credit-related training and learning programs
  • Experience conducting credit quality reviews and monitoring lending trends is an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of FCC’s credit policies and procedures
