What You'll Do:- Provide clear, actionable advice on all aspects of the employee experience, including hiring, performance management, accommodations, investigations, and exits.
- Support Ro's workforce strategy, including remote arrangements and cross-border employment questions.
- Partner with the People team and outside counsel on benefits and equity questions in support of Ro's overall compensation structure.
- Manage employment-related disputes through resolution, including pre-dispute response, alternative dispute resolution, litigation, and coordination with outside counsel and insurers.
- Assist with other litigation matters across the organization as needed, including commercial disputes involving Ro corporate, its pharmacy subsidiaries, and affiliated physician practices.
- Advise on responsible, compliant use of AI tools in recruiting, performance management, and other employee-facing contexts.
- Anticipate and track changes in relevant laws and keep Ro ahead of them through practical updates and guidance.
- Work with the People team to maintain scalable policies, handbooks, templates, and training programs.
What You'll Bring to the Team:- J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 8+ years of experience in employment law and managing investigations and disputes, including at a law firm and in-house
- Comfort working across a wide range of matters in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent judgment and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience advising on use of AI in the context of employment
- Flexibility to take on adjacent work in commercial contracts as needed
- Experience advising a physician practice, hospital, or other care care provider is strongly preferred

For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
