Position Reports To: General Counsel
Position Summary The Associate Counsel will be responsible for drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial and corporate contracts and provide legal support across multiple business units throughout the United States and Canada.
Essential Functions - Drafts, reviews, and negotiates master service agreements and other commercial contracts.
- Coordinates with business leaders to ensure contracts are developed in line with division and corporate objectives.
- Assists in the development and integration of Apache's contracting policies.
- May provide legal support and contribute to litigation, human resources, and/or risk management functions.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Education & Experience - Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree
- Licensed by the State of Texas to practice law
- Minimum of three (3) years' legal experience

Working Conditions/Physical Demands - Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Flexibility to travel as may be required (less than 10%)
