Job Description

Position Title: Associate Counsel

Position Reports To: General Counsel

Position Summary

The Associate Counsel will be responsible for drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial and corporate contracts and provide legal support across multiple business units throughout the United States and Canada.

Essential Functions

  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates master service agreements and other commercial contracts.
  • Coordinates with business leaders to ensure contracts are developed in line with division and corporate objectives.
  • Assists in the development and integration of Apache's contracting policies.
  • May provide legal support and contribute to litigation, human resources, and/or risk management functions.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Education & Experience

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree
  • Licensed by the State of Texas to practice law
  • Minimum of three (3) years' legal experience

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
