Job Title: Senior Construction Cost Estimator
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time/ Hybrid
RIB U.S.COST is seeking a skilled Senior Construction Cost Estimator to join our production estimating team, supporting Federal Agencies, DoD, and State/Local government projects. The role involves preparing and coordinating detailed cost estimates across various project phases, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and design constraints. This position is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in construction cost estimation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for leveraging innovative methods and technology in project delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and manage cost estimates for large and complex projects at all design stages.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate cost management.
- Interpret and work with architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating tools and software for detailed pricing and resource allocation.
- Support value engineering, progress reviews, and project optimization initiatives
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adheres to all policies related to the handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management (or related field).
- 8-10 years of experience in the estimating field with a cost consultancy or contractor.
- Expertise in architectural, structural, and civil scopes of work; MEP knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft 365.
- Possess excellent written and oral communications skills
- Working knowledge of typical estimating software
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Desired skills:
- AACEI Certification or the ability to get certified within 1 year of employment
- US Citizenship (desirable)
- Experience using OST, MCACES (MII), Cost OS, CostX Success Estimator, Timberline, is preferred but not required
- Strong desire to learn or expand upon new methods and software
