Job DescriptionAs a Senior Cost Consultant, you will be involved in:- Supporting a major project in Ottawa
- Leading a team of like-minded individuals to drive the best value and opportunities for the client whether that be through design or construction.
- Working with our reporting and scheduling teams to develop clear and concise monthly reports that showcase all aspects of the project.
- Driving packages of work through from inception of package through to completion including working with our estimating team, seeing it through procurement and then monitoring the works on site.
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Providing educated guidance and insight on all aspects of the project to drive improvement and efficiencies.
- Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data.
- Quality Control - Ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Assessing and validating design as well as post contract cost changes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager.
- Inputting into value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Assisting the Commission Manager ensuring commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
- Assisting the Commission Manager to ensure service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment.
- Assisting our Associate Directors / Directors in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Knowledge management - Ensuring that key information and learning generated is inputted into internal databases and shared.
Qualifications- Eligible to work in Canada.
- 5 - 10 years of relevant experience including working on at least two major projects or programs
- A recognized post-secondary education certificate, diploma or degree
- Membership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) and/or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada or be able to secure one
- Advanced knowledge of and experience using CostX is an asset

The base salary range for this full-time role is
$90,000 - $140,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
