Oliver Inc. is searching for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our accounting team. As our Senior Cost Accountant, you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor to the monthly close process, manage AR functions, reconcile accounts, and play an essential part in financial reporting and compliance.

What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Cost Accountant:
  • Posting daily cash receipts, billings and assisting with AR collections
  • Processing credit applications and prepare aging reports
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and fixed asset management
  • Perform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining the general ledger
  • Prepare timely monthly financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies, while identifying and explaining monthly variances
  • Support internal audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories
  • Review job costing and prepare schedule of variances for investigation.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Working with other departments to support decision-making processes and ensure financial information is readily available
  • Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports for management
  • Assisting with audit and preparing necessary documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations and reporting.

What You Bring as a Senior Cost Accountant:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a must)
  • Knowledge of GAAP and experience with account reconciliations
  • Excel proficiency, along with experience Manufacturing ERP systems
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, including senior management.
