Full Job Description
Intuit is hiring a Senior Corporate Counsel, Privacy Compliance to help manage and mature core components of our global privacy program. Reporting to the Head of Privacy Regulatory Compliance on the Data Privacy team, you will proactively assess legal risk and use your experience to provide smart, practical guidance to stakeholders about the responsible usage of data. You will also work closely with technical and business stakeholders to build durable, scalable compliance processes (using cutting-edge tools and technologies) that keep up with Intuit's pace of innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted privacy subject matter expert to cross-functional teams and provide actionable guidance and advice to enable smart risk.
  • Manage Intuit's worker privacy program, including governance, workflows, and compliance with CCPA's automated decisionmaking regulations.
  • Own and evolve Intuit's data subject rights (DSR) compliance program across the US and globally, ensuring processes meet requirements under CCPA/US state privacy laws, GDPR, and other applicable international frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement of privacy compliance tooling and processes, including automation opportunities for PIAs, risk assessments, and DSR fulfillment.
  • Advise on the application of privacy-by-design principles (data minimization, purpose limitation, transparency, and customer choice) to new and evolving technologies.
  • Translate complex and changing privacy regulations into practical, scalable compliance frameworks, playbooks, and training for cross-functional partners.
  • Monitor the global regulatory landscape, including emerging AI-specific privacy and data protection laws, and translate developments into program updates.
  • Build strong working relationships across Legal, Product, Engineering, and Business teams, and drive alignment across competing points of view to reach practical outcomes.


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant legal experience (in-house and/or at a law firm).
  • Strong working knowledge of US state and federal privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, etc.) and familiarity with international frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA).
  • Experience building, running, or maturing privacy programs.
  • Technologically adept, with working fluency with AI and emerging technologies.
  • Comfort engaging directly with technical stakeholders on data flows, system design, and engineering trade-offs - you don't need to write code, but you need to be conversant with those who do.
  • Proven ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable policies, frameworks, and guidelines.
  • A learning mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity as laws and technology continue to evolve.
  • Concise and efficient communicator.
  • JD and membership in good standing with at least one US State Bar.Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • IAPP privacy or AI certification (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or AIGP) preferred, but not required.
  • Experience advising on AI governance, model risk, or responsible AI programs.
  • Familiarity with privacy compliance tooling and automation (e.g., PIA workflow platforms, DSR fulfillment systems, data mapping tools).


Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
The expected base pay range for this position is:
Oakland $227,000 - $307,000
Mountain View, CA $227,000- $307,000
New York $213,000- $288,500
San Diego, CA $223,500- $302,500
