Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret mechanical plans and control drawings effectively.
  • Install, wire, program, and commission Niagara JACEs, supervisors, and field controllers.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP networking and integration points like BACnet/IP and BACnet MSTP.
  • Optimize existing Tridium Niagara systems and related Schneider Electric/Honeywell platforms.
  • Commission and calibrate HVAC equipment including air handlers and VAV boxes.
  • Lead projects independently or supervise junior technicians during installations and retrofits.
  • Conduct start-up procedures for various HVAC plant systems.

Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control Technician with a deep understanding of Tridium Niagara and other control systems. Who can efficiently program, navigate, install, wire, and troubleshoot Niagara-based building automation systems - and is comfortable leading projects from the field. This opportunity is to join a growing team that installs and services Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Honeywell, Trane, and the majority of Tridium platforms. Read and interpret mechanical plans, control drawings, and sequences of operation. • Install, wire, program, and commission Niagara JACEs, supervisors, and field controllers. • Configure IP networking, BACnet/IP, BACnet MSTP, and integration points. • Troubleshoot and optimize existing Tridium Niagara systems (and Schneider Electric / Honeywell platforms). • Perform start-up, commissioning, and calibration of air handlers, VAV boxes, chilled-water plants, condenser-water plants, and related HVAC equipment. • Work independently or lead junior techs on service, retrofit, and new construction projects. You Should Have • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in building automation/controls (senior-level strongly preferred). • Strong proficiency with Tridium Niagara (AX/N4) programming, navigation, station setup, troubleshooting, and commissioning. • Tridium Niagara N4 certification is a strongly preferred. • Solid experience with Schneider Electric Eco-Struxure or Honeywell systems. • Added benefit would be knowledge on Trane BAS, Siemens BAS, ALC, JCI, or other BAS control vendors not listed01 • Advanced knowledge of BACnet (IP & MSTP), IP networking, Modbus, DDC control theory, electrical schematics, and low-voltage wiring. • Proficiency with test instruments, calibration tools, and troubleshooting electrical/controls issues. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. • Solid understanding of HVAC sequences: chilled-water/condenser-water plants, air handlers, and VAV systems. • Computer proficiency (Windows, MS Office, Niagara Workbench) and strong problem-solving skills. • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to lift 50 lbs Perks & Benefits We offer a full slate of benefits, including competitive salaries, medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverages, FSA, flexible vacation, commuter benefits, and 401k plan with a match.
