Senior Contract Services Officer performs high-volume and technical purchasing and contract administration for a variety of general and specialized goods and services, advises program and project staff about complex contracting issues, prepares bid specifications, solicits proposals and bids from vendors and contractors, negotiates, awards, and prepares contracts, resolves bid or contract disputes, and monitors contract performance. This class is distinguished from Contract Services Officer in that Senior Contract Services Officer performs the more complex Contract Services Officer work, trains, assigns work to, and reviews the work of Contract Services Officers, and/or directly supervises possibly clerical or technical staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEither: 1. One year of experience in the class of Contract Services Officer in Sacramento Area Sewer District service.
Or: 2. A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field
ANDTwo years of full-time professional experience purchasing commodities, acquiring contracted services or writing service or construction contracts.
Or: 3. Three years of full-time professional experience purchasing commodities, acquiring contracted services or writing service or construction contracts.
