Senior Contract Manager, Procurement(anticipatory) CCC-5 Salary: $100,589 - $115,428

Reporting to the Manager, Sourcing Program, the Senior Contract Manager, Procurement is responsible for supporting internal and external clients (other government departments) in sourcing and procuring good and services.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide advice and support to client organizations on sourcing, procurement and related contracting practices, rules, and legislative requirements
  • Support clients in the development of sourcing needs and requirements including creation of bid documentation
  • Manage solicitation process for acquisition of quotes and proposals through methods and tools including RFPs, RFQs, bidder conferences, traditional competitions, and open bidding
  • Work with legal department in the drafting and review of contractual documents
  • Perform risk assessment and analysis for procurements, and works to reduce and manage risks to CCC
  • Serve as CCC's representative for contract negotiations including amendments as well as technical advice and support in the resolution of complex contract issues related to delivery
  • Manage invoicing and related financial administration - confirm appropriateness of invoices, approval for payment, and tracking payments made against contract conditions and requirements


What you'll bring to CCC

  • Completion of a post-secondary education in commerce or business administration, procurement/supply chain
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, contracting and financial management
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procuring services, and IT related solutions
  • English Essential. Bilingual in both official languages is strongly recommended
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement practices in a domestic and international context (identification of suppliers, development and review of bid documentation, pricing, contract completion, range of procurement vehicles - standing offers, requests for information, formal and complex requests for proposals)
  • Knowledge of client /stakeholder relationship management
  • Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
  • Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, regulations, and guidelines
