Job Description:
This is a rare, high-impact position at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and complex government regulation. You'll serve as the organization's primary subject matter expert-bringing order, governance, and strategic control to AI implementation in one of the most heavily regulated environments in Fortune 500 government contracting. Unlike generic content or marketing roles, you'll architect backend frameworks, taxonomies, compliance guardrails, and quality assurance protocols that allow emerging AI to work safely and effectively in a bureaucratic, compliance-heavy environment. You're the bridge that brings control back to risk-averse clients who fear losing control to automation.

*Please note that you must be located in Chicago to be considered for this role. Remote work is not applicable.

You Will:

- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert across all content and AI-related project work streams
- Establish and maintain content governance frameworks, taxonomies, metadata standards, and business rules
- Define guardrails, safety protocols, and compliance requirements for AI/LLM use in a heavily regulated government environment
- Inventory, audit, and assess existing content and digital assets; implement automated processes for content discovery
- Develop content standards, quality controls, and compliance policies
- Flag content that bypasses proper review processes and coordinate corrections
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, Creative, SEO, and Content teams across multiple concurrent projects
- Monitor AI performance and content quality metrics; implement corrective actions
- Translate complex regulatory and business requirements into clear content guidelines and operational frameworks
- Work closely with the Director of Content on tactical oversight and strategic initiatives

You Have:

- 7+ years in content management strategy, content operations, technical content architecture, or content analysis
- 3+ years with AI/GenAI experience, specifically in heavily regulated industries (government, financial services, healthcare)
- Proven experience with content governance, quality assurance, and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CMS platforms, and understanding of taxonomy & metadata
- Technical content strategy background (NOT copywriting or editorial calendar experience)
- Meticulous attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the initiative to discover insights independently
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear guidelines and documentation
- Comfort navigating complex, bureaucratic, and highly regulated environments

Preferred: Airtable, Figma, CMS auditing experience, SEO knowledge, AI implementation in regulated industries

This position requires candidates to obtain a Level 2 Security Clearance in accordance with U.S. government regulations. As such, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible to apply.Chicago: $85,000-$120,000
