Senior Java Backend and Oracle Developer
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend and Oracle Developer with 8+ years of experience to join our enterprise engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems with a strong focus on high-performance database interactions.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in enterprise Java development with deep knowledge of Oracle database engineering, including SQL and PL/SQL. You will play a key role in system architecture, performance tuning, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
Develop, test, and optimize Oracle database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs and integrate applications with third-party systems and messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
Diagnose and resolve database performance issues by analyzing execution plans, optimizing complex SQL queries, and implementing indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies.
Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and implement automated unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.
Collaborate with system architects, product managers, and frontend teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers by sharing best practices in Java backend development and Oracle database optimization.
Required Technical Skills
Strong expertise in Core Java 8, 11, or 17+, Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c or 21c, Advanced PL/SQL, SQL tuning, execution plans, AWR and ADDM reports, partitioning, and indexing strategies.
Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, REST APIs, design patterns, multithreading, concurrency, and distributed systems.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
Proficiency with Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
