What will your typical day look like?

Deloitte Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Supply Chain & Network Operations practice, with a focus on Logistics & Distribution.
As a Senior Consultant, you will work with clients to improve the performance of their logistics, transportation, fleet, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will contribute to strategy, assessment, design, and implementation engagements, working across both business and technology workstreams.
In this role, you will:
• Lead workstreams across logistics and distribution strategy, operating model design, operations assessments, and transformation programs.
• Analyze transportation, warehousing, fleet, distribution, and network operations to identify practical opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, productivity, resilience, and sustainability.
• Support transportation optimization, route and load planning, dispatch improvement, carrier management, freight settlement, and logistics performance management initiatives.
• Support WMS, TMS, YMS, fleet, telematics, order management, and related supply chain technology design, selection, implementation, and adoption.
• Use data, analytics, and visualization tools to develop insights, quantify opportunities, and create client-ready recommendations.
• Bring a practical understanding of AI, Generative AI, and agentic AI concepts to logistics and distribution use cases, including planning support, exception management, decision support, workflow automation, performance analytics, and knowledge management.
• Facilitate client interviews, workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions across business, operations, and technology teams.
• Manage project activities, timelines, risks, issues, and status reporting for your workstream, with guidance from Managers and Senior Managers.
• Support business development activities, including market research, proposal development, solution shaping, and client presentations.
• Continuously build your logistics, distribution, technology, analytics, and AI capabilities through Deloitte learning, external training, and hands-on client delivery.

You are someone who combines supply chain experience, structured problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a practical interest in how technology and AI are changing logistics and distribution.
You bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree, MBA, or relevant professional certification is considered an asset.
• Minimum 5-7 years of direct experience in consulting and/or industry experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, warehousing, fleet operations, or broader supply chain transformation.
• Experience contributing to or leading workstreams in one or more of the following areas:
o Supply chain or logistics assessments
o Transportation strategy and optimization
o Distribution centre design or warehouse process improvement
o Network design and distribution footprint analysis
o Fleet operations and telematics-enabled performance improvement
o Transportation sourcing, carrier management, freight audit, or freight settlement
o TMS, WMS, YMS, fleet, order management, or inventory planning technology initiatives
• Familiarity with one or more transportation modes, such as LTL, TL, parcel, private fleet, dedicated fleet, intermodal, rail, or final mile.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with operational data, identify root causes, develop insights, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, Python, or other analytics and visualization platforms is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with AI, Generative AI, or agentic AI concepts and an interest in applying them to real logistics and distribution problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready materials and explain complex operational or technical concepts clearly.
• Experience working directly with clients, business stakeholders, operators, technology teams, and senior leaders.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments with changing priorities and tight timelines.
• A commitment to professional and client service excellence.

Preferred Skills:
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Previous management consulting experience.
• Experience supporting technology selection, implementation, testing, training, deployment, or post-go-live stabilization.
• Exposure to leading logistics and supply chain platforms
• Experience applying analytics, automation, AI, or digital tools to improve transportation, warehousing, fleet, or distribution performance.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.

Quebec Locations: Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
