Are you an experienced environmental professional who is passionate about helping organizations navigate complex EHS challenges while advancing sustainable business practices? ERM is seeking an Senior Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will partner with industry-leading clients and collaborate with technical experts across ERM's global network to deliver impactful solutions in EHS compliance, sustainability, environmental site assessment, remediation, and due diligence.   • Help clients achieve and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Support sustainable business practices through environmental and EHS advisory services.
  • Deliver technical expertise for site investigations, remediation projects, environmental assessments, and due diligence activities.
  • Identify risks, develop practical solutions, and support corrective actions that improve operational performance.
  • Contribute to successful project delivery while providing exceptional value to clients across multiple industries.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex environmental and regulatory challenges.

What You'll Bring
Required
  • BS in engineering, environmental science, environmental science-related field (e.g., geology), occupational health and safety, or related discipline. Minimum 3.0 GPA, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years (5-10 years preferred) of relevant environmental experience or professional internships.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience developing safety plans, with the ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and challenging terrain.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports, and building tables and spreadsheets, including tabulation and manipulation of data.
  • Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant, including being a team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatility, and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail while maintaining a broad project perspective.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background check and drug test.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
  • Master's degree.
  • EIT, ASP, CHMM certifications, or similar credentials.
  • Experience recording and writing detailed technical reports.
  • Experience conducting environmental field investigations and compliance assessments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence transaction projects.
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and wastewater programs.
  • Perform EHS compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support the development of EHS compliance and management system programs.
  • Provide general EHS compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.
  • Perform Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessmentsto support property transfer transactions.
  • Conductenvironmental field work, including groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water sampling and ecological field studies.
  • Conductinspections to verify EHS compliance at customer sites.
  • Managemultiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations while ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
  • SupportERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers in delivering exceptional client value and project outcomes.
