As part of our growth and our desire to amplify our impact, we are looking for a senior-level Energy Transition consultant who is passionate about putting his or her expertise to work on meaningful projects that contribute to building a carbon-neutral and increasingly resilient future. At CIMA+, your expertise will be put to work for our clients, providing them with strategic, technical and operational recommendations in their transition to sustainable, resilient and equitable energy systems. You will have the opportunity to position CIMA+ upstream to open opportunities for energy transition projects in advisory mandates.

Main responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of energy transition strategies for clients with energy, industrial, public, institutional and municipal infrastructures
  • Contribute to client services related to energy management systems and ISO 50001 compliance and implementation, in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Manage a portfolio of energy transition advisory consulting mandates, including scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, risks and client communications
  • Develop and maintain project workplans, action lists and schedules, and ensure timely follow-up with clients, internal contributors and external partners
  • Carry out techno-economic analyses and energy feasibility studies to support clients' decision-making in their decarbonization (electrification, renewable natural gas, storage, energy efficiency, etc.) and resilience strategies
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary advisory project teams and ensure that responsibilities, deadlines and expected outputs are clearly defined and followed through
  • Position CIMA+ upstream with clients to identify, develop and lead various energy transition advisory projects, often of large strategic scope
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear action and decision tracking, proactively identify delivery issues and resource constraints, determine and implement appropriate corrective actions, and escalate matters requiring leadership intervention when appropriate
  • Coordinate and participate in selected energy transition conferences, industry events and networking activities, including objectives, internal preparation, meeting schedules, representation and post-event follow-up, in collaboration with marketing and administrative resources
  • Lead the preparation of selected service proposals, including methodology, workplan, team structure, level of effort, coordination of technical inputs and submission follow-up.


Qualifications
  • University degree in engineering (energy field), environment, economics or related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset
  • Certification such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), ISO 50001 or another relevant accreditation (an asset)
  • Minimum 8-years of experience in energy transition consulting projects, energy policy development or implementation, energy modelling or renewable energy deployment for companies
  • Solid knowledge of corporate energy transition, covering a variety of energy sources (renewable natural gas, biogas, solar, etc.) and their complementarity, as well as a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework, available subsidies, technological innovations and current trends
  • Ability to lead strategic consulting projects, sometimes multi-sectoral, with multiple stakeholders (e.g., clients, teams, government entities, suppliers, communities, etc.)
  • Strong consulting project management capabilities, including managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder management
  • Experience supporting business development, strategy development, client relationship management, professional networking and structured opportunity follow-up
  • Bilingual in both, French and English, written and oral, with excellent communication and presentation skills in both languages.
