About the teamJoin Deloitte's next-generation engineering team - Emerging Technologies, where human expertise and AI-powered development converge to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions at speed. As a Senior Consultant - Solution / Build Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and building custom solutions within an AI-assisted, autonomous delivery environment.
You will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with architectural awareness to deliver production-ready outcomes, while guiding and supervising AI-generated development. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments and want to shape the future of software delivery.
What will your typical day look like?Deliver High-Quality AI-Assisted Solutions• Develop, review, and refine AI-generated code to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment to business intent
• Act as a responsible owner of your deliverables, ensuring production readiness of all outputs
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining engineering rigor and standards
Apply Architecture-Aware Engineering • Build solutions that align with defined architectures, integration patterns, and enterprise standards
• Identify and mitigate technical and architectural risks early in the lifecycle
• Collaborate with architects and senior team members on key design decisions
Ensure Quality and Scalable Design• Write and review code to ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance
• Identify and prevent technical debt through sound engineering practices
• Contribute to quality assurance readiness through robust integration and testing support
Contribute to End-to-End Delivery• Support the full development lifecycle-from design through build, integration, and deployment
• Partner with cross-functional teams (product, design, data, QA) to deliver cohesive solutions
• Ensure alignment across front-end, API, and data components in integrated systems
Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement• Experiment with new tools, approaches, and AI capabilities to improve delivery outcomes
• Contribute ideas and best practices that enhance the team's AI-assisted engineering approach
• Continuously build your skills across full-stack development and emerging technologies
Collaborate with Clients and Teams• Work closely with Deloitte teams and clients to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Communicate progress, risks, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture
Enough about us, let's talk about youRequirements (Must Haves):• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on development skills
• Experience across full-stack development (UI, APIs, data) in modern technology environments
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, agentic coding tools)
• Strong understanding of software quality, integration patterns, and production readiness
• Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Preferred (Nice to Haves) :• Ability to balance speed and quality in an AI-assisted development environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a mindset for experimentation and innovation
• Emerging leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior team members and influencing technical decisions
• Ownership mindset with accountability for high-quality delivery outcomes
Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
