KPMG's Banking and Capital Markets Advisory Practice helps banking organizations to implement effective operating functions to support their business objectives.

Taking a holistic view, we tailor our approaches to our client's key concerns. We strive to optimize operations by leveraging creative and innovative solutions to raise service quality levels for their customers. Our Banking and Capital Markets Advisory practice is seeking a Senior Consultant to strengthen our Banking offering in the Toronto office. We are looking for curious and motivated professionals who are want to broaden their consulting horizons.

What you will do

As a Senior Consultant in our Banking and Capital Markets Advisory practice, you will use your strong business acumen and be a key member of a high performing team. You'll have the opportunity to learn from banking industry service specialists and improve your skills through the following activities:
  • You will be at the forefront of our banking solutions ecosystem, leveraging your operational and technical skills to assess, capture and translate complex business issues for our clients.
  • You will design, build, develop, and optimize comprehensive business solutions that precisely align with organizational requirements.
  • You will use your abilities as strategic project leader to take ownership of defining, orchestrating, and successfully delivering complex projects.
  • You will cultivate and deepen relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • You will guide a diverse team of professionals during project implementation.
  • You will gain a deep understanding of our clients' business needs and the banking industry.
  • You will contribute to proposals and demonstrations in response to potential customer requests.

What you bring to the role

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Management/Business Administration, Engineering, Business Information/Technology, Finance, Public Administration or Data Sciences.
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting banking services, data analytics, and/or Finance / Financial Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and define problems and develop creative solutions to address client requirements clearly and articulately.
  • Experience in planning and tracking projects, comfortable working with executive stakeholders and have superior communication skills.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft office suite, particularly in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to create proposals and presentations to achieve the objectives and fully utilize Excel function to perform data analysis, planning, estimation and project management.
  • Ability to use analytic tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Detail oriented while being able to see a holistic and/or broader picture
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating a collaborative and supportive spirit.
  • Sense of responsibility in the execution of their work, motivation to achieve their full potential and understanding of the importance of human relations (clients, future clients, their communities, and the global firm).
  • Open to learning and discovering new sectors and business functions.
  • Willingness to improve and open to listen and/or incorporate different perspectives to achieve team and clients' objectives

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $107,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
