The Position

DIA Senior Compliance Expert

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Compliance Expert, you will design, architect, and drive the global compliance and business sustainability framework for Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) and key US Diagnostics sites. Reporting to the DIA Customer Area Compliance Lead, you will foster a culture of integrity and continuous improvement while delivering a proactive, business-oriented approach. Your scope spans core compliance operations, including monitoring, auditing, policy development, transparency, HCP/HCO engagements, and investigations.

Working closely with the Diagnostics Compliance Network, local Compliance Officers, and regional leads, you will ensure the seamless execution of strategic training and communication plans across the organization. In this role, you will lead high-impact compliance initiatives, enable program maturity, and optimize resource allocation to support sustainable business growth while meeting all global regulatory and assurance obligations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Execution: Implement global, divisional, and RDS compliance initiatives aligned with Group Compliance Leadership decisions and business goals.

  • Framework & Assurance: Design and maintain a robust compliance framework to protect Roche6s license to operate while driving process enhancements.

  • Audit & Risk Mitigation: Lead the risk-based annual audit and monitoring plan, overseeing findings, corrective actions, and timely follow-ups across stakeholders.

  • Training & Communication: Partner across RDS to develop, deliver, and communicate compliance curricula, policies, and risk awareness programs.

  • Core Compliance Oversight: Support key operational areas, including internal investigations, policy maintenance, HCP/HCO engagements, FMV, and transparency reporting.

  • Executive Reporting: Prepare and present regular strategic updates on compliance program operations and progress to senior leadership.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Identify and leverage data insights to guide compliance strategies and support second-line business initiatives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional leads and second-line functions to seamlessly integrate compliance across ongoing business projects.

  • 4OneRoche4 Standardization: Align with Group and Divisional Compliance to streamline processes, drive synergies, and standardize practices enterprise-wide.

  • Network Agility: Proactively foster a modern, agile mindset within the Diagnostics Compliance Network to build strong, collaborative partnerships.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor6s degree and 8-10 years of related experience OR 12-15 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or Masters) in Law, Finance, or Business, with 7+ years in Compliance, Audit, Risk, or Legal within healthcare, diagnostics, or medtech.

  • Regulatory & Global Expertise: Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations and experience operating across international markets with strong change management skills.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Proven success breaking down organizational silos, balancing conflicting priorities, and building cross-functional consensus.

  • VACC Leadership: Inspires and influences using Roche6s VACC framework (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) to drive a customer-centric compliance network.

  • Strategic Agility & Integrity: Pragmatic problem-solver who navigates complex, ambiguous situations with decisive business judgment and high ethical standards.

  • Communication & Trust: Fosters an open speak-up culture, actively listens, and builds candid, trusting relationships across boundaries (English fluency required).

Travel Required: Up to 10%

Location: Flexible across US Roche hubs (Branchburg, Tucson, Pleasanton, Indianapolis) or global Roche sites.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $106,100- $230,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
