Full Job Description
About the Role

Atoms is hiring a Senior Compensation Business Partner to support compensation strategy and execution for a company scaling across 30+ countries and multiple distinct business lines. You'll report to the Head of Compensation and act as a senior strategic partner to senior business leaders and HRBP leadership - owning how we think about and operate compensation programs for some of our most complex and highest-visibility client groups.

You'll operate with significant autonomy - using data, judgment, and strong business partnership to deliver compensation solutions tailored to Atoms rather than defaulting to generic best practice.

This role suits someone who is mission driven, resilient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Partner deeply with Business Unit leaders and HRBPs to understand their talent needs and organizational dynamics, translating those insights into compensation recommendations that support our organizational goals.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of core compensation programs (e.g. annual compensation cycles, promotion cycles).
  • Set the roadmap for compensation data products - decide what products get built next, and lead their design and deployment
  • Push an AI-first approach across the team - identify where agents and automation should replace manual analysis so the team spends more time on strategic problems and less on manual analysis
  • Build and own international compensation strategy for client groups spanning multiple countries, adapting U.S.-built frameworks to local market realities and regulatory requirements
  • Support cross-functional teams through organizational change and transformation.
  • Partner with HRIS and Total Rewards Operations to ensure operational excellence and data integrity across systems (e.g., Workday)
  • Mentor and develop team members acting as a technical and strategic resource across the broader People organization

What We're Looking For
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in global compensation, total rewards, or human capital management consulting (10-15 years of total professional experience)
  • Demonstrated experience owning compensation strategy - not just executing programs - including designing frameworks from scratch in ambiguous or fast-changing environments
  • Deep expertise in U.S. compensation regulations and compliance, plus working knowledge of international compensation practices across multiple markets
  • Track record advising senior (VP+) stakeholders on high-stakes compensation decisions, including executive compensation
  • Expert-level analytical skills
  • Proven ability to translate data into a clear point of view for executive audiences - you influence decisions, not just report numbers

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, MBA, Economics, HR Management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience building or leading compensation data products/tools used by leadership
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or GRP (Global Remuneration Professional)
  • SQL/Python/Tableau
  • Equity management experience
  • Executive compensation experience
  • Deep understanding of Workday
