Function:
As the Senior Communications and Marketing Specialist, Project Management and Workflow you are responsible to initiate, create, plan, and implement marketing & communications projects in support of CBC Radio, Television and Digital. You manage workbacks and production schedules,ensuring that stakeholders across Marketing and Communications teams are adhering to the dates, tasks and deliverables included. Marketing and Communications is a fast paced environment where the ability to problem-solve quickly on changing project scopes and deadlines is required. Work must conform to, and respect CBC program and journalistic policies, standards and practices, as well as the ethics related to advertising standards.
You will:
Create, vet, scope and build assignments across all assigned campaigns/projects.
Support and communicate project workloads across a variety of projects, flagging bottlenecks or potential risks ahead of time
Working alongside but advising our Administrative Specialists / Project Coordinators.
Lead and facilitate weekly operational team meetings providing and receiving updates on project status.
There is a regular requirement to coordinate the work of others:
Coordinate a wide variety of promotional and / or public relations materials for other Marketing and Communications teams, and external needs, ensuring the appropriate distribution of briefing materials, including creative assets, messaging and deadlines.
Provide organizational, promotional and creative support to external partners and internal stakeholders such as Local CBC, CBC News, Entraintment, Sports, Brand and Media Solutions.
Coordinate daily work assignments for Creative teams based on project due dates, asset availability with Creative Managers
Manage the daily assignments for Post-Production staff (editors and audio engineers) ensuring assets are approved, in the right formats and that brand guidelines are being followed.
Other Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, while proactively tracking project and campaign milestones to ensure timely delivery
Align resources and priorities as project and campaign requirements evolve or change (example, rush projects)
Review communications and marketing strategies and projects for Radio, Television and Digital in consultation with clients and, upon approval, implement these strategies, timelines and projects.
Support the development and maintenance of local/community project and campaign plans, including associated briefs, ensuring all initiatives align with organizational standards and required approvals and resources
Provide Marketing and Communication staff with training and technical support in project management tool Adobe Workfront.

You act as a driving force for our Operations team, and across Marketing & Communications, ensuring all project milestones are met on time and with high quality.
Stakeholders view you as a trusted partner who brings clarity to project scopes, keeps communication seamless, and navigates changing priorities with ease.
You optimize our operational efficiency by mastering Adobe Workfront, and/or other defined projectment systems, proactively identifying workflow bottlenecks, and empowering colleagues with your technical expertise.
You foster a collaborative team environment, effectively balancing competing demands across the operations team, ensuring smooth delivery of impactful, high quality marketing campaigns.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in Project Management preferably within an advertising agency, tv/film production or creative environment.
Digital media experience and knowledge is an asset.
Demonstrated superior writing skills, leadership, creativity, strategic thinking, planning, organizational ability and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage time efficiently and thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Strong balance of collaborative team contribution and self-directed autonomy
Openness to diverse perspectives and ideas and differing points of view is critical.
Project Management experience in an advertising or creative environment is required.
Adobe Workfront or other Project Management system experience is required.
In-depth understanding of production and/or creative workflows is a must.
