Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Commercial Sourcing Advisor supports the IT organization by developing and managing digital strategic sourcing initiatives for software, hardware, and professional services. This role requires strong communication, market analysis, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. The Advisor will lead sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions, mitigate risk, and negotiate contracts, while ensuring compliance and supporting business needs. This posting is for two open positions on the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers; track KPIs and resolve performance issues. 
  • Collaborate with business units to assess requirements and develop sourcing/contracting strategies. 
  • Lead the RFx process (RFI/RFP/RFQ), including requirements development, vendor negotiations, and contract execution. 
  • Manage supplier relationship management (SRM) for strategic suppliers to drive improvement and resolve supply issues. 
  • Oversee a portfolio of critical suppliers and execute category strategies for IT cybersecurity and hardware projects. 
  • Analyze bids, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery and performance. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization within the procurement organization. 
  • Interpret commercial, financial, and business data to minimize risk and recommend qualified contractors. 
  • Lead workshops and supplier business unit reviews to stay abreast of technology trends. 
  • Expedites purchase commitments and executes procurement process to ensure delivery on time and acceptable performance by suppliers, to meet the needs of business partners through the Procure to Pay (P2P) process from order entry through invoice reconciliation and payment. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Finance, IT, or Engineering). Master’s preferred. 4+ years IT sourcing experience (hardware, software, cloud, support). 
    • 4+ years in purchasing, contracts, or commercial roles required. 
    • Experience negotiating with IT vendors; strong understanding of IT technologies. 
    • C.P.M. or C.P.S.M. certification beneficial. 
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, PowerBI, and Ariba. 
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; comfortable with ambiguity and change.
