Position Summary

At MPC, we are embarking on a transformative journey, creating the next generation of digital products and platforms. These products and platforms are envisioned to provide best-in-class experience to end users.

The Enterprise Platforms Manager role is responsible for leading and managing the team of software engineers containing full-stack and platform engineers. The focus of the Platform Manager will be on developing the people and processes that contribute to the timely delivery of innovative, secure, and high-quality platforms as well as solutions.

To ensure success as an Enterprise Platforms manager, you should have demonstrable experience on platforms inclusive of Salesforce and Azure technology stack. You must possess strong knowledge around enterprise application integration design patterns to lead integration solutions lifecycle across the platform ecosystem. You should also develop a deep understanding of how our products are built and contribute technically towards cross domain solutions. The Platform Manager should also foster a strong working relationship with the various Product Leaders and other Discipline Leaders across the organization to support optimal outcomes to support the business objectives.

The Platform Manager should lead, guide, and set directions for the product engineering team. The Platform Manager will also be responsible for employee development, performance reviews, pay reviews, and staffing decisions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manages daily operations of the team, providing guidance, mentorship, and driving culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Oversees recruitment, development, retention, and performance to build strong talent.
  • Plans and leads low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to quality standards.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and internal groups to identify needs, deliver effective solutions, and support business objectives.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise platforms, ensuring they align with business objectives. Ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of enterprise platforms through proactive monitoring and management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and implement security measures to protect company data and systems. Ensure integration and interoperability across platforms and systems and enforce platform governance policies
  • Align product roadmaps with business strategy and long-term objectives, especially within enterprise and Oil & Gas industry contexts. Champion technology-driven process improvements through cloud, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital transformation initiatives that foster innovation and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Identifies and solves technical and operational problems; understands and recognizes broader impact across the area of responsibility.
  • Stays abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, and makes recommendations for adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency. Assesses and identifies technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Oversee budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of IT services. Make strategic decisions on resource allocation and contract negotiations that align with business priorities and drive transformational outcome
  • Partners with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.
  • Assists in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other computer science related degrees required.
  • 10+ years of diversified IT experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience leading professional staff required.
  • Hands-on experience implementing the scalable, reliable, extensible, and reusable enterprise-wide integration platform components required.
  • Hands-on experience in service oriented and micro service architectures required.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing middleware is required.
  • Hands-on experience in source control, branching strategies, code reviews, CI/CD deployment pipelines, automated testing, release management, and DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of downstream refining and midstream domains is required.
  • Enterprise platform management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver IT products or services aligned with business strategy, including oversight of project timelines and vendor relationships, preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I Certification preferred.
  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent enterprise platform architecture certification strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI-enabled product development lifecycle is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
• ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
• 10+ years of diversified IT experience
• 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to deliver IT products or services aligned with business strategy, including oversight of project timelines and vendor relationships. preferred
• Experience with Portfolio and Product management, particularly in an Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and execute plans based on established strategies and organizational objectives preferred
