About this opportunity:

The Senior Commercial & Development Advisor supports the evaluation of new business opportunities and assists in managing existing commercial agreements, in alignment with Husky Midstream's capital approval and project development processes. The role collaborates with internal teams and external partners, with a focus on supporting business growth. This position involves working with stakeholders at various levels across the organization and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and proficiency in developing clear, concise materials to support decision-making.

What you'll do:
  • Advance new business development opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Lead negotiations and oversee the development of commercial agreements (including new contracts and renewals), ensuring alignment with strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Progress new opportunities through Husky Midstream's project development process, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and timely advancement.
  • Deliver analysis and actionable recommendations to support new initiatives and optimize existing business.
  • Clearly communicate commercial insights, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Provide input and guidance on asset planning, budgeting, and performance reporting activities.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and strengthen business cases.
  • Support acquisition evaluations and due diligence activities.


Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Engineering; a Master's in Business is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in upstream or midstream commercial roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in financial and economic modeling, decision analysis, and business case development.
  • Knowledge of crude oil qualities and blending methodologies is considered an asset.
