Full Job Description
The hiring range for this opportunity is $120,000 to $150,000 annual salary along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Senior Commercial Banker

POSITION SUMMARY

Develops and acquires new operating business with annual revenues of $10MM to $50MM and manages client relationships within business segments and/or geographic areas. Presents a variety of product solutions to meet client needs including Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, and other related business services. Provides responsive, quality service. Works with the most complex credits.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops proactive calling schedule within designated segments and industry to prospective operating businesses in conjunction with strategic business development program. Identifies business opportunities by learning prospect's business, company or industry and their needs.
• Self-acquires operating business through calling activities to COIs, prospective clients and assigned relationships. Discusses and promotes all Bank products and services to establish complete client relationship and collaborates with business partners, bringing in product specialists, as necessary, to help problem solve or structure a transaction.
• Negotiates transactions and prices products within targeted rate of return, working with Commercial Banking leadership or Credit Administration for approvals. Exercises sound credit and risk judgment. Ensures quality of all Bank business.
• Collaborates with other Bank lines of business. Defines responsibilities and coordinates objectives for all product areas in a relationship or transaction. Resolves all client needs and any internal issues.
• Monitors and analyzes relationship plan results and account activities. Determines client profitability. Makes recommendations regarding accounts to be further developed or eliminated. Prepares various reports for management.
• Monitors portfolio for quality, risk, and adherence to policy. Works closely with Portfolio Managers, Commercial Banking Leadership and Credit Administration to ensure sound portfolio management, client introductions and timely resolution of issues.
• Maintains an awareness of competitive products, practices, rates, and changes in market areas.
• Analyzes problem credits and meets with clients to develop solutions to minimize lost exposure.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves as a product specialist and a technical consultant to clients in various business segments and geographic locations. Develops and conducts client and employee training sessions and informal updates.
• Participates in civic and community affairs as appropriate.
• Maintains a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations that may be specific to your job duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent, required. Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 5 years of Commercial Banking experience, or related advanced Business Development experience.
• Exceptional knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures. Experience with the most complex credits and offers experience and risk knowledge on structuring credit.
• Proven track record of success in a sales environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
