Own overall solution integrity across FinOps services, data pipelines, and application layers, ensuring architectural consistency across backend services, front-end applications, and AI-driven workflows.

The FinOps Optimization platform is a multi-year enterprise initiative designed to deliver standardized, scalable capabilities for cloud cost visibility, automation, and intelligent optimization. The platform will enable continuous innovation, reduce manual intervention through automation, improve cost efficiency, and lower total cost of ownership across the enterprise cloud landscape.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
  • Lead end-to-end design and development of FinOps platform services, ensuring solution integrity across APIs, microservices, front-end applications, and AI-driven workflows
  • Design and build scalable backend services and APIs supporting cost analytics, optimization recommendations, and automation workflows
  • Develop and integrate agentic AI capabilities that generate, orchestrate, and execute optimization actions across cloud environments
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, API governance practices, and secure development principles
  • Own engineering decisions related to architecture patterns, service design, containerization, and technical debt trade-offs
  • Partner with Product Management, FinOps stakeholders, and engineering teams to align solutions with cost optimization outcomes and product roadmap priorities
  • Influence feature prioritization, solution simplification, and implementation trade-offs to reduce complexity, delivery risk, and operational cost
  • Provide technical perspective on system design implications, risks, and solution options to engineering and product leadership
  • Lead development and deployment of applications using modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker)
  • Ensure observability, reliability, and performance of deployed services through monitoring, logging, and telemetry integration
  • Integrate cost and usage data from cloud platforms, APIs, and third-party tools to enable actionable FinOps insights
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence through code reviews, best practices, and architectural guidance

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and modern deployment architectures
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including application hosting, integration, and automation services
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
  • Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automated delivery (GitHub, Ansible)
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, and high-performing applications and services
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with FinOps practices, cloud cost optimization, or financial governance platforms
  • FinOps Foundation Certification (Practitioner or Professional)
  • Experience designing and developing agentic AI or AI-driven automation solutions, including LLM-based applications or orchestration frameworks
  • Experience with Azure services such as API Management, Azure Functions, App Services, and cloud-native data platforms
  • Familiarity with cost telemetry systems, billing data, and optimization tooling ecosystems
