Description:Diversified Systems is searching for a Senior Cloud AI Architect responsible for creating the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and ethical AI solutions to support government and public service missions. This role combines deep AI/ML expertise with architectural leadership to modernize public sector operations, improve citizen engagement, and drive data-informed decision-making while maintaining compliance, transparency, and trust.
This position requires advanced skills in multiple areas of architecture, with expert or specialized knowledge in cloud platforms and AI. The architect will communicate with stakeholders at all levels, support multiple teams and projects, mentor other architects, and work with GTA to design, develop, and implement IT architecture, AWS cloud implementations, and advanced AI/ML solutions across State Agencies.
Responsibilities:- Cloud Architecture & Engineering
- Design, develop, and implement IT architecture across AWS cloud environments and State Agencies.
- Architect, design, and support applications operating in AWS environments.
- Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services).
- Design secure and compliant AI/ML solutions leveraging public cloud or hybrid environments.
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and ethical AI/ML solutions to support government and public service missions.
- Leverage public cloud and hybrid cloud environments to support AI/ML initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend AI platforms, frameworks, and tools including Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, and PyTorch.
- Support development of chatbots, generative AI (GenAI), and large language model (LLM) solutions for public sector use cases.
- Promote AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks.
- Architecture Leadership
- Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Support multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other architects.
- Develop and recommend enterprise architecture strategies supporting modernization initiatives.
- Support enterprise-wide integration initiatives for cloud and AI solutions.
- Governance, Security & Compliance
- Design secure and compliant AI/ML solutions aligned with public sector requirements.
- Support cloud and AI architectures that comply with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST AI RMF, NIST 800-53, and related frameworks.
- Support state and local government digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements:- 10+ years of experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of applications, solution architecture, and underlying information technologies required.
- 5 years of enterprise, full-life cycle architecture experience in the professional IT/Software Development services industry required.
- 5 years of hands-on technical application architecture experience, including application build and modernization required.
- 5 years of evaluating architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services) required.
- 3 years of experience with cutting-edge AI technologies in developing chatbots and generative AI (GenAI) and LLM deployment for public sector use cases required.
- 3 years of experience with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks required.
- 3 years of experience with AI platforms, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, PyTorch) required.
- 3 years of experience designing secure and compliant AI/ML solutions leveraging public cloud or hybrid environments required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or an equivalent work experience required.
- Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications to operate in AWS environments required.
- Strong technical expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing required.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and ethical AI/ML solutions required.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect highly desired.
- Experience with state and local Government highly desired.
- Enterprise-wide integration experience for both cloud and AI solutions highly desired.
- Knowledge of integration standards and best practices for cloud and AI systems highly desired.
- Understanding of public sector security and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST AI RMF, NIST 800-53) highly desired.
- Prior work with federal, state, or municipal digital transformation programs highly desired.
- Certification in cloud architecture or AI specialties (AWS, Azure, or GCP) highly desired.
