Overview
The Senior Client Development Specialist (SCDS) will be an integral member of the Client Development Team. Working closely with the Director of Client Development (DCD), Senior Client Development Managers (SCDMS), and Client Development Managers (CDM), the SCDS will be primarily focused on providing support for the firm’s client teams and other Business Development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated support for assigned high potential client teams.
- Support the SCDM in maintaining and executing account plans for two priority investment bank clients, including stakeholder mapping, meeting cadence and follow‑through, pipeline/CRM hygiene, performance dashboards, competitive intelligence, referral tracking and cross‑practice pursuits aligned with the SCDM and relationship partners.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the investment banking, private equity and alternative asset management industries including by commissioning and conducting business research to keep abreast of industry/market intelligence and proactively sharing relevant insights with the SCDM and client development team.
- As appropriate, independently provide strategic account management support for individually assigned client teams.
- Support pitching and new business generation by assisting the SCDM and the business development team in project managing pitches, proposals, and RFPs, ensuring timely completion, document storage, and follow-up actions as directed, including:
- maintaining up-to-date pitch content, materials, and client information,
- participating in scoping and preparation for in-person meetings and pitches,
- tracking wins and losses and follow-up efforts.
- Assist with other client development or business development initiatives and projects as the need arises from inception through delivery.

Education and Experience Required:
- An undergraduate degree is required.
- A minimum of five years9 experience in business development within a professional services firm or corporate environment.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
New York: $111,100 - $169,450
Working Conditions
This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
