Job DescriptionOperating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.
The purpose of this position is:
• Deliver quality work and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR).
• Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans.
• Provide close interface with, and promote the understanding of, other discipline functions.
• Engage Fluor's global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset.
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
• Participate in people development through mentoring of less experienced Designers, including providing performance appraisal input and counseling.
• Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities.
• Support the Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
• May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements• Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study, or; A combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• 2-5 years of mining experience• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
Other Job RequirementsAdvanced Knowledge of:
- 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D CAD systems and procedures
- Microstation, Smart Plant 3D, AutoCAD
- 3D modeling software, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Bentley Inroads (legacy software)
Intermediate Knowledge of:
- Managing and leading small to medium-sized projects
Basic Knowledge of:
- Boundary and topographical surveys (civil)
- Procurement and construction aspects of engineering

Compressed work schedule: The Fluor Canada offices work a compressed work schedule offering every second Friday off.
Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $84,500.00 - $157,500.00
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
