Job Description

As a member of the division materials team, the Sr. CBR Specialist will serve as a highly motivated, self-starting contributor who leads and supports automation initiatives, digitalization efforts, and supply chain transformation across the division. You will support materials-related new launch activities, ensuring timely follow-up, issue resolution, and alignment with operational and customer requirements. Provide ongoing support to the CBR function across all NA JIT plants, driving process discipline, data accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide divisional support for CBR processes, ensuring consistency in customer release management, BOM accuracy, and engineering change control across multiple plants.
  • Analyze customer releases and demand trend to support accurate planning and prevent supply disruptions.
  • Maintain data integrity across SAP/AS400 systems and support master data standardization.
  • Develop and deploy standardized digital reporting tools to improve visibility into demand, inventory health, shortages, change management, etc.
  • Leverage Lear's analytics ecosystem to support operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Support new program launches and model-year changes by ensuring release readiness, BOM completeness, and material availability for all impacted plants.
  • Facilitate communication across planning, logistics, engineering, quality, supplier management, and IT teams to resolve issues and align actions.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance CBR processes, reporting efficiency, and planning accuracy.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in material planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management.
  • Proven expertise in engineering change control, materials launch, and BOM management.
  • Strong data and analytics mindset with the ability to translate insights into business action.
  • Passion for digital solutions, with a strong desire to grow as an internal expert in AI, automation and analytics to optimize business processes.
  • Advanced Excel, dashboarding, or visualization skills.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems with strong proficiency in SAP and AS400.


Bonus If You Have

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, Power BI, or Palantir Foundry
  • Experience with MMOG/LE standards.
  • Automotive supply chain background, JIT experience, or multi-plant coordination.
