Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota's Global Compliance Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Case Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and resolve complex compliance cases, ensuring fair, thorough, and timely investigations while supporting a culture of integrity and compliance across the organization.

Reporting to the Global Compliance Senior Director, the person in this role will support the Global Compliance department's objective to uphold Toyota's compliance standards, strengthen ethical decision-making, and maintain trusted reporting and case management processes.

What you'll be doing
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Global Speak Up program, ensuring alignment with Toyota's corporate values, compliance priorities, and regulatory requirements across all global entities and regions.
  • Direct complex global Speak Up investigations in high-risk areas, particularly those involving executive leadership, maintaining independence and professionalism to safeguard Toyota's reputation, consumer confidence, and overall value.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Speak Up matters, providing guidance, training, onboarding, and best practices to regional and local compliance teams to strengthen their programs and awareness.
  • Drive data analytics and report on Speak Up program metrics and trends, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to regional executive leadership to enhance program effectiveness and organizational integrity.
  • Engage proactively with regional leadership to facilitate the identification, assessment, and reporting of compliance risks, fostering a collaborative approach to risk management.


What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, criminal justice, or other business-related areas.
  • Strong background in compliance, investigations, case management, ethics, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience leading internal investigations in a multinational environment.
  • Extensive experience conducting investigatory interviews at all levels of large organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and objectivity.


Added bonus if you have
  • Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, or Masters in Compliance/Ethics).
  • Professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
  • Multilingual proficiency preferred; Japanese language ability is a strong plus.
