Position Summary
The Senior Capital Requisition and Materials Coordinator provides experienced coordination support for capital project procurement and material management activities, with primary focus on the 2027 Washington Works Turnaround (TAR). This role partners closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Cost Control, and Procurement to ensure timely requisition processing, purchase order execution, and material readiness to support successful TAR execution.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to prepare and enter capital project requisitions in SAP.
Track requisitions through approval workflows to ensure timely purchase order issuance.
Monitor open commitments, supplier status, and delivery timing for equipment and materials.
Proactively follow up with procurement and site teams to ensure materials and equipment are delivered and received as planned.
Develop, maintain, and distribute Material Status Reports (MSRs) with focus on TAR readiness and project execution.
Provide regular updates to project teams on procurement and material status risks impacting cost or schedule.
Support monthly face sheet review preparation, including requisition, PO, commitment, and material status inputs.
Identify and escalate procurement or material risks that could impact TAR readiness or overall capital execution.
Support standardization of requisition and material tracking processes.
Qualifications
Significant experience supporting capital projects, procurement, or material coordination in an industrial environment.
Strong working knowledge of SAP procurement processes (requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, and tracking).
Demonstrated experience coordinating across Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Procurement.
Experience managing material tracking, commitments, and procurement follow-up activities for multiple projects.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking/reporting tools.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across large project portfolios (e.g., TAR scope).
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and proactively escalate risks impacting project execution.
Preferred:
Experience supporting turnaround (TAR) or outage-related capital project portfolios.
Experience working in chemical, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
Experience supporting multi-site or regional capital project portfolios.
