  • Collaborate effectively with CAD technicians and engineers.

Job Description
  • Prepares engineering drawings of plans, profiles, Typical sections, cross sections and other typical details based on MTO's Standard drawings.
  • Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.
  • Set up project reference base files, set up sheets per standards and manage drawings via sheet set manager.
  • Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD Standards).
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers.
  • Be competent do develop and understand basic alignments in Civil3d, prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities.
  • 3D design and corridor Modelling in Civil3D is required.
  • Knowledge of working in Collaborative work Environments such as Sharepoint and Projectwise will be an asset.
  • Experience of managing junior CAD technicians and developing team skills with focus on improving quality and efficiency will be an asset.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of prior civil engineering projects CAD related experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
