Job Description- Prepares engineering drawings of plans, profiles, Typical sections, cross sections and other typical details based on MTO's Standard drawings.
- Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.
- Set up project reference base files, set up sheets per standards and manage drawings via sheet set manager.
- Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD Standards).
- Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers.
- Be competent do develop and understand basic alignments in Civil3d, prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities.
- 3D design and corridor Modelling in Civil3D is required.
- Knowledge of working in Collaborative work Environments such as Sharepoint and Projectwise will be an asset.
- Experience of managing junior CAD technicians and developing team skills with focus on improving quality and efficiency will be an asset.
Qualifications- Minimum 10 years of prior civil engineering projects CAD related experience.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
