Full Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead sourcing efforts for assigned commodities and components from vendor identification through evaluation, selection, and implementation.
  • Drive cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives through supplier negotiations, competitive quoting, value analysis, and process improvements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to support business growth, capacity requirements, and supply continuity.
  • Partner with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and service performance, including root cause analysis and corrective actions when required.
  • Support new product development projects and engineering changes by ensuring supplier readiness, material availability, and project timeline adherence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Production Control, and Production to support cost, quality, and manufacturability objectives.
  • Assist in resolving supply disruptions, material shortages, and supplier escalations to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement project status.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and sourcing documentation within company systems.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office-related injuries
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as needed
  • Ability to travel domestically as well as Internationally via ground, air, and rail as necessary (up to 10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or like field preferred
  • 5+ years direct Purchasing and/or Supply Chain experience with both domestic and overseas procurement
  • Practical problem-solving approach to supply issues, business-minded, results-oriented, and a team player
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve procurement problems
  • Exceptional vendor relations management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
