Job Description:
What You’ll Do:
- Own activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of materials
- Champion cost, quality, delivery, productivity, and simplification initiatives
- Document and celebrate all cost savings and avoidances
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors (not just transactional!)
- Take the lead on vendor negotiations—price, delivery, and quality compliance
- Build and manage a robust supplier base
- Conduct impactful supplier visits, evaluations, and quality audits
- Drive proactive resolution through the Corrective Action Request process
- Manage material price variance, boost inventory turns, and lead cost-reduction programs
- Supervise material handlers and inventory specialists and continuously seek smarter, simpler ways to work
- Align supplier schedules with real-time material requirements (MRD adjustments)
- Hit MOH targets and keep "non-active" inventory under control
- Oversee cycle counts and master inventory management
- Manage raw materials during exciting new product transitions/developments
- Spearhead strategic sourcing and resourcing projects across the division
- Collaborate daily with operations, product, and engineering teams
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management
- At least three years of experience in a similar role
- A solid background in supplier management (negotiation, delivery, and quality)
- A track record of managing cost savings initiatives
- The ability to set and crush both short- and long-term goals
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and rise to the challenge
- A self-starter attitude: conscientious, enthusiastic, and always positive
- Strong prioritization and analytical thinking skills
- Outstanding communication and negotiation savvy
- A team-first mindset—you build, embrace, and promote collaboration
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and time-management abilities
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel as needed for supplier engagement and audits
