Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Independently carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis
Initiate purchase orders and amendments for all parts and services with required procurement documentation in accordance with the requirements of FAR/DFAR/ISO; including correct technical documentation, drawings, and specifications as required
Monitor and executes MRP suggestions daily
Drive actions to mitigate potential delivery delays by identifying risks, performing root cause analysis and development of recovery plans to bring shipments back in-line with customer shipping requirements
Responsible for supplier metrics, approvals, and risk assessments for assigned group of suppliers
Expedite outside processing and purchase orders as needed and communicate delivery problems immediately to the appropriate personnel within the organization
Support Sales and Customer Services to provide necessary information needed to respond to customer requests for quotation and delivery information
Support Manufacturing departments in their effort to meet production schedules
Supports engineering with material and vendor selection for new, current, and revised products
Maintains close coordination with team members to ensure timely execution of product and services, planning and sourcing activities
Process and resolve non-conformances in the quality management system by coordination of vendor deviation requests, return material authorizations and corrective actions
Secures and analyses quotations, negotiates prices, and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
Ensures that all regulatory requirements with respect to purchasing, storage, and transportation of materials are adhered to
Coordinates procurement activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other personnel for maximum operational effectiveness
Update tiered pricing, lead times, and supplier part numbers in part maintenance in ERP systems
Maintain Approved Supplier List and Supplier Certifications
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 8 years of experience in the DoD/Aerospace environment in Manufacturing Purchasing
