Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead the analytics, reporting and technical optimization capabilities used to operate InterSystems Managed Services. This role will own the strategy and delivery of service level dashboards in Power BI, architect an AI-augmented metrics service on InterSystems IRIS and provide senior level IRIS development and application tuning expertise for managed service offerings.

The Senior Analyst will independently lead cross-functional initiatives, establish standards, influence application and service design and serve as the escalation point for complex analytics, data-quality and performance challenges.

Success will be demonstrated through trusted enterprise reporting, reduced manual effort, faster service reviews, measurable application performance gains and reusable analytics capabilities adopted across the Managed Services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities and Performance Expectations
  • Own the Managed Services analytics roadmap, KPI framework and delivery backlog; align priorities with service leadership, solution management, engineering and operational teams and provide clear reporting on value delivered, risks, dependencies and data-quality issues.
  • Architect and govern Power BI dashboards for SLA attainment, availability, incident trends, request performance, capacity, utilization, customer service reviews and service economics; maintain dashboard coverage for 100% of active Managed Services offerings.
  • Establish authoritative metric definitions, source-system ownership, refresh frequency, thresholds, drill-down logic, security and reconciliation controls; sustain at least 99% reporting accuracy and resolve material metric discrepancies through documented root-cause analysis.
  • Lead automation of recurring operational and customer reporting, targeting at least 90% automation of repeatable report production and at least a 75% reduction in monthly service-review preparation time.
  • Drive adoption of operational dashboards through stakeholder enablement, usability improvements, and governance; achieve active use by at least 80% of designated Managed Services leaders and operational users.
  • Architect and lead development of an AI-augmented metrics service on InterSystems IRIS that consolidates monitoring, incident, request, platform, cloud, application, financial and service delivery data into a governed operational intelligence layer.
  • Deliver production-ready AI or advanced analytics capabilities, such as anomaly detection, SLA-risk indicators, capacity forecasts, narrative service summaries and recommended actions, with documented controls and measurable operational value.
  • Define predictive and leading indicators for Tier-1 managed platforms, including success criteria, accuracy measures, false-positive tolerances, operational response procedures and a feedback process for continuous model improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership for IRIS data models, SQL queries, ObjectScript components, APIs, integrations and aggregation workloads; establish development standards, review critical designs and code and maintain 99.9% availability for the internal metrics platform.
  • Lead complex code, query, interoperability and application performance investigations for Managed Services customers and offerings; serve as the escalation point for high-impact performance issues.
  • Influence application architecture and managed service design by defining requirements for observability, supportability, scalability, resilience, data retention and performance; participate in all strategic Managed Services offering reviews assigned to the role.
  • Approve analytics and operational readiness criteria for new or materially revised managed service offers, ensuring defined KPIs, source data, ownership, thresholds, dashboards, alerting and service-review outputs are in place before operational launch.
  • Create reusable dashboard models, data connectors, IRIS components, metric definitions, engineering patterns, and optimization playbooks that reduce duplicate effort and accelerate onboarding across customers and offerings.
  • Mentor analysts and engineers on metric design, Power BI modeling, IRIS analytics development, data validation and performance-analysis methods; raise technical quality through design reviews, peer review and documented standards.
  • Represent Managed Services in senior technical and operational discussions, translating complex performance and service data into clear decisions, investment recommendations and risk-based priorities for leadership.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, application support, performance engineering, data engineering or managed services, including leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including semantic models, access controls, deployment governance and executive dashboard development.
  • Hands-on experience with InterSystems IRIS, IRIS for Health, HealthShare, Caché, or Ensemble, including SQL and ObjectScript development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex query, database, interoperability and application-performance investigations and convert findings into measurable improvements.
  • Experience defining enterprise KPIs, establishing data governance, reconciling source data and communicating operational findings to technical teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning or generative AI to analytics, anomaly detection, forecasting, summarization or decision support, including validation and operational controls.
  • Healthcare IT, HIE, EMPI, interoperability, cloud operations or IT service management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
