Data Analyst, Revenue Performance is responsible for delivering accurate, actionable, and timely insights that improve operational performance, support strategic decision-making, and drive financial outcomes. As a key member of the Revenue Strategy & Performance team, this role advances the organization's mission to create transparency, alignment, and accountability across Revenue Cycle, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Accounting through trusted data, standardized reporting, and actionable performance insights.
This position serves as both a technical and strategic partner, leveraging data analytics and performance reporting to establish a trusted source of revenue information across the organization. The Senior Data Analyst will develop and maintain executive dashboards, performance metrics, and analytical solutions that provide visibility into operational and financial performance while enabling leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
A primary objective of this role is to create and sustain a single source of truth for revenue data that increases transparency, reduces manual effort, improves reporting consistency, and strengthens organizational confidence in performance measurement. The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities, risks, and trends, and translate complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations that drive continuous improvement and revenue optimization.
Working closely with Revenue Cycle, FP&A, Accounting, and executive leadership, this individual will play a critical role in advancing data-driven decision-making, performance management, and transparency across the enterprise.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Strategy & Performance Analytics - Analyze complex operational, financial, and revenue cycle data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance gaps.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Conduct root cause analyses and investigate variances across financial and operational performance metrics.
- Support strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of process improvement initiatives and quantify business impact.
Reporting, Data Governance & Transparency - Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
- Establish standardized reporting frameworks that create transparency and alignment across Revenue Cycle, FP&A, and Accounting.
- Create and maintain a single source of truth for revenue-related data and performance metrics.
- Partner with Revenue Cycle, FP&A, and Accounting leaders to define, standardize, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), metric definitions, and reporting methodologies.
- Develop automated reporting and analytical solutions that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and increase access to actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and governance across reporting platforms.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytical solutions.
Financial & Revenue Performance Management - Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews by providing data analysis, performance reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level insights.
- Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to improve visibility into revenue performance and financial outcomes.
- Develop financial and operational models to support FP&A-led budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to optimize revenue recovery, operational efficiency, and overall financial performance.
Cross-Functional Partnership - Serve as a trusted advisor to Revenue Cycle, FP&A, Accounting, and operational leaders.
- Present analyses, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment among departments through transparent, consistent, and reliable reporting.
- Promote best practices in analytics, reporting, and performance management.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in data analytics, financial analysis, healthcare analytics, or a related discipline.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
- Experience translating business requirements into reporting, dashboard, and analytics solutions.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to present complex analyses and recommendations to leadership audiences.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare finance, physician revenue cycle, or provider operations.
- Experience supporting FP&A, Accounting, or financial reporting functions.
- Exposure to advanced analytics tools, data warehouses, or programming languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement methodologies, denial management, revenue integrity, and accounts receivable management.
