Full Job Description
What you'll do

  1. Lead Daily Operations: Oversee daily technical and functional operations for core time and attendance systems (including Oracle OTL and Infor WFM) and manage smooth timecard processing.
  2. Troubleshoot & Script: Troubleshoot custom interfaces, utilities, and SQL/PL/SQL scripts to ensure accurate data flow and system reliability.
  3. Drive Global Harmonization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to harmonize data flows across Oracle OTL, Infor WFM, and other time & attendance applications into a single global platform.
  4. Requirements & Configuration: Gather global business requirements to configure timecards, pay rules, and system solutions for international environments.
  5. Reporting & Compliance: Create and run OBIEE and Cognos reports to track timecard compliance, support payroll integrity, and maintain data accuracy.

The day-to-day

  1. Operations & Support: Monitor daily time and attendance workflows, manage timecard processing, and troubleshoot issues across Oracle OTL, Infor WFM, and custom interfaces.
  2. Technical Troubleshooting: Write and debug SQL/PL/SQL scripts, custom interfaces, and utilities to ensure data flows correctly between systems.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global teams to align data harmonization and support major initiatives like the multi-country FTO rollout and platform evaluations.
  4. Configuration & Requirements: Gather business requirements from international stakeholders to configure pay rules, timecards, and system enhancements.
  5. Reporting & Compliance: Run OBIEE and Cognos reports to audit timecard compliance, ensure data accuracy, and safeguard downstream payroll processing.

"This is a site-based role, employees work 3+ days (60%+) per week from a Viasat office or work location within a standard five-day workweek."

What you'll need

  • Education & Experience: 4 to 5 years of techno-functional experience in time-and-labor systems within multi-country or multi-tenant environments.
  • Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Core Technical & System Expertise:
    • Strong expertise in Oracle OTL (Oracle Time & Labor) and Oracle EBS (integrations with Project Accounting and General Ledger).
    • Familiarity with alternative platforms such as Infor WFM, UKG, and Workday (beneficial as we conduct platform RFPs).
    • Experience with custom interfaces like PowWow Timecard.
  • Technical & Scripting Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of Infor APIs and developing rules using Groovy is a plus.
  • Reporting Tools: Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Cognos.
  • Functional & Soft Skills:
    • Strong background in requirements gathering, documentation, system configuration, and pay rules setup.
    • Excellent analytical thinking and effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Salary range

$110,500.00 - $174,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $137,000.00- $206,000.00/ annually
