Job Summary:

Wipfli is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant that will serve as the primary technical escalation point for our Data and Analytics Managed Services clients, supporting and enhancing business intelligence, reporting, and analytics environments. The ideal candidate will partner directly with clients, gather business requirements, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide expertise across analytics technologies.

The role combines hands-on technical work with client-facing consulting responsibilities and requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and can translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for data and analytics support issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Power BI, Fabric, Azure, and other analytics platform challenges.
  • Lead client discovery and requirements-gathering discussions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical recommendations and solutions.
  • Support onboarding efforts for new managed services clients.
  • Create and maintain technical and client documentation.
  • Mentor support team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Partner with client success, delivery, and consulting teams to drive successful client outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and internal training.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, documentation, and solution delivery.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a professional services firm or 5+ years of private industry experience focused on appropriate technical area with 1+ years in professional services.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting, developing, or implementing analytics, business intelligence, or data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including report development, data modeling, troubleshooting, and administration.
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting T-SQL queries.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience supporting or delivering analytics solutions in a client-facing consulting, managed services, or internal support environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Training, support or consulting advisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft-based tools such as Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Entra ID.
  • Experience with PowerShell automation, Python and/or PySpark.
  • Experience with Qlik products

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $88,000 to $118,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
