Business Development Manage (BDM) in New Jersey (NJ) to oversee key customer accounts and drive business opportunities that support sustainable, long-term growth.

What can you expect to do?- Business Development & Customer Relationship Management: Drive expansion of Velocity's market share by strengthening relationships with existing customers and developing new client opportunities.
- Strategic Thinking & Opportunity Identification: Identify, develop, and implement strategic business opportunities through value-added programs that enhance customer partnerships.
- Growth Strategy & Results Orientation: Lead initiatives focused on achieving sustainable and strategic customer growth.
- Market Analysis & Strategic Planning: Evaluate and identify key growth opportunities, partnering with leadership to establish and execute strategic growth plans.
- Leadership & Coaching: Collaborate with Sales Management to support, guide, and help develop Strategic Account Managers to optimize sales performance and profitability.
- Negotiation & Stakeholder Influence: Lead initiatives aimed at securing Approved Vendor status with multinational customers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leadership to ensure alignment between top-down corporate strategies and bottom-up market insights.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Develop customer engagement strategies and participate in regular client visits alongside Strategic Account Managers.
- Financial Accountability & Organizational Skills: Prepare and maintain regular reports summarizing travel expenses associated with customer visits.
- Data Analysis & Business Reporting: Develop and present periodic performance reports, including sales forecasts, gross profit projections, regional work plans, and performance results.
- Communication & Cultural Alignment: Act as a brand ambassador by promoting and communicating Velocity's culture, core values, and value proposition to customers and stakeholders.
What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?- 4-year college degree in a sales related field.
- 8+ years of sales or business development experience in the electronic components industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing, account management, CRM
- Substantial product knowledge

The pay range for this role is $79.400 - $142.900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: junio 29, 2026.
