Here's the Gist:

Reporting to the Program Manager, Business Continuity, this non-IT, single-contributor role will maintain the all-hazards business continuity and crisis management program across the company's North American footprint. This includes cross-functional collaboration and making decisions in complex environments requiring a solid understanding of resilience practices and how they can be applied to the company's business units and processes. This is a high-visibility position that requires distinctive critical and abstract thinking abilities, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to tactfully influence and drive decision making through a consensus building approach, strong business acumen and technical ability, and a consistent customer-service mindset.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Serve as the company's business continuity consultant, providing expert guidance to peers and leadership.
  • Facilitate and ensure the completion, annual maintenance, and tracking of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), contingency plans, risk assessments, and associated plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop, organize, deliver, and track business continuity training and exercises.
  • Facilitate and coordinate company-wide emergency response and recovery efforts and provide support and direction to business recovery teams and the crisis management team.
  • Maintain the Business Continuity Coordinator program.
  • Track and coordinate the completion of identified opportunities for improvement (OFIs) following events and exercises to improve our resilience posture.
  • Represent the Business Continuity program during internal and external quality audits and develop dashboards and reports to track the health of the program.
  • Ensure IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AS9100D, and CMMC compliance through routine assessment of, and alignment with, program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide support to Emergency Services Team (EST) members, as needed.
  • This role is subject to additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.


This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in business continuity planning and operations.
  • Considerable experience facilitating crisis management and business continuity team activations.
  • High degree of personal accountability and self-motivation and with the ability to take ownership of assigned projects, adapt to quickly changing environments and priorities, provide superior independent judgment, and work independently, while recognizing and escalating risks and issues in relation to the delivery of outputs.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, adjustable to a variety of audiences and situations to ensure appropriate levels of interaction in normal to high stress conditions. The ability to consistently communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, is imperative.
  • Ability to tactfully influence and drive decision making through a consensus building approach with stakeholders across the organization by building, fostering, and sustaining key relationships.
  • Availability to provide 24/7 on-call coverage in support of emergency response and recovery efforts.
  • Experience and comfort working with Microsoft Office applications (to include SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Power BI) and emergency communications systems (Everbridge, AlertMedia, RAVE, or similar).
  • Ability to travel to other Wolfspeed locations, as needed, up to 5% of the year.
  • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.


Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in business continuity planning and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business continuity, emergency management, enterprise risk management, crisis management, business administration, or other relevant area of study.
  • ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Auditor.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), or higher-level BCP credential.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Previous experience in heavy industry, semiconductor manufacturing, or other private sector industry.


Location Information:
  • Remote, with scheduled site visits up to four (4) times per year.
