Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between mission needs and mechanical innovation-leading the collection, refinement, and management of user requirements from initial discovery through full-scale deployment of Salesforce systems. You'll provide expertise in business process design and improvement, system analysis, and the transformation of business needs into technical marvels. In this role, you'll also support change management efforts, training, and strategic planning across a variety of technical and functional environments.

Contributions

  • Work with our Service Designer to facilitate discovery to understand client mission and translate needs into requirements
  • Envision, design, and forge requirements to enhance systems, optimize workflows, and streamline operations-ensuring all gears turn in unison.
  • Skillfully identify and mitigate risks with precision befitting a master tactician.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and customers to support agile Salesforce development projects-planning and delivering with strategy and grace.
  • Apply facilitation techniques to host workshops and gatherings, guiding stakeholders to a shared understanding of the vision and building product and portfolio roadmaps.
  • Break down large epics into features and user stories that are well-understood and approved by development teams.
  • Document Acceptance Criteria in a manner as precise as a clockmaker's diagram-ensuring developers, testers, and business stewards align on intent.
  • Communicate with clarity and elegance, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and delivering impactful findings and recommendations.
  • Administer Salesforce functions including user account management, profiles, roles, data access, workflows, sharing rules, and permission sets-keeping the machinery humming smoothly.
  • Stay informed on new Salesforce enhancements and advise on their applicability for internal use.
  • Support training rollouts and help grow application proficiency across the team.


Qualifications

Required:
  • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
  • Ability to obtain a Federal Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent years of experience in the field
  • Certified Scrum Master certification, or equivalent agile credential
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, and has experience in and or Salesforce Functional/Systems/Admin roles supporting custom software for federal missions
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience guiding teams through user story creation, dependency mapping, and optimal solution design
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric approach, and the ability to thrive in diverse environments
  • Proven track record as a collaborative team player and leader
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities

Preferred:
  • Master's Degree or equivalent years of experience in Information Technology
  • Experience working in federal government contracting and project management
  • Active Federal Clearance
  • Experience with Human-Centered Design, UI/UX Designers, and Service Design
  • Familiarity with Mural and/or Lucid for visual collaboration


Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
