General Description

Senior Business Analyst focused on supporting corporate sustainability initiatives through data analysis, reporting, research, benchmarking, and compliance. The position requires collaborating with various areas of the organization, preparing reports and presentations, monitoring sustainability trends and regulations, and recommending improvements to processes, metrics, and strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Support
  • Contribute to cross-functional sustainability projects by coordinating with business partners across the organization to advance sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Support broader sustainability priorities, including due diligence processes, operational sustainability initiatives, sustainability risk and opportunity assessments, governance activities, reporting alignment, and program strategy development.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and advance sustainability initiatives.

Data Management, Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect, validate, maintain, analyze, and interpret sustainability-related data, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and enhance reporting processes, systems, dashboards, and data management tools as needed.
  • Prepare accurate and timely sustainability reports, data summaries, presentations, and supporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare administrative, operational, statistical, and analytical reports to support decision-making and program evaluation.
  • Develop expertise in available data sources and sustainability information systems to support data-driven recommendations.

Research and Benchmarking
  • Provide sustainability benchmarking, peer analysis, and market intelligence to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Synthesize complex research findings into actionable insights, identifying key themes, conclusions, risks, opportunities, and recommendations for leadership.

Ratings and Disclosures
  • Monitor sustainability-related ratings, rankings, assessments, and benchmarking organizations to identify opportunities for performance improvement and enhanced transparency.
  • Monitor evolving sustainability regulations, disclosure requirements, investor expectations, and voluntary reporting frameworks, including TCFD, ISSB, GRI, SASB, and other relevant standards.
  • Support the evaluation of sustainability disclosures and reporting practices to align with evolving stakeholder expectations and industry standards.
  • Respond to sustainability-related inquiries, information requests, and surveys from internal and/or external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials supporting sustainability disclosures, rating agency submissions, stakeholder communications, and external reporting initiatives.

Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor emerging sustainability trends, programs, risks, and issues that may impact the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sustainability processes, data quality, reporting capabilities, and program effectiveness.
  • Support governance activities, documentation requirements, and sustainability performance tracking.
  • Perform additional analysis, reporting, and related duties as assigned.

This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as sustainability, business administration, finance, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in corporate sustainability, sustainability reporting, data analysis, or related areas.

Other Qualifications

  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex sustainability, business, and operational challenges into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong quantitative and data analytics capabilities, including experience sourcing, aggregating, validating, and interpreting data from both traditional and emerging sources to support decision-making, performance measurement, and sustainability reporting.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills (English and Spanish), with the ability to synthesize complex information and effectively engage diverse audiences through executive presentations, reports, stakeholder meetings, Teams communications, and other business channels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sustainability research, including topics such as climate risk, natural resources, human capital, governance, and emerging sustainability trends, with the ability to translate research into business-relevant insights.
  • Proven ability to perform independently in dynamic and ambiguous environments, managing multiple priorities, navigating unstructured problems, and delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Highly collaborative and relationship-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and a track record of driving results through cross-functional partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork across diverse business areas.
  • Strong business judgment and intellectual curiosity, with the confidence to develop evidence-based recommendations, challenge assumptions, defend well-reasoned perspectives, and continuously refine conclusions based on new information.
  • Ability to define, measure, and analyze business performance, translating data into meaningful management insights, strategic recommendations, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Process improvement mindset, focused on identifying efficiencies, streamlining workflows, and enhancing organizational effectiveness through data-driven solutions.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of independently advancing projects, balancing competing demands, maintaining attention to detail, and consistently meeting commitments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and business intelligence tools, including Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and related platforms used for collaboration, reporting, and analytics.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining a balanced stakeholder- and customer-focused approach.
