Position Description:

The Senior Business Analyst (BMAD) leads requirements discovery and functional analysis for the development squad, ensuring the backlog is precise, testable, and aligned to business outcomes.

This role works closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, engineers, and testers to translate business needs into actionable delivery artifacts using BMAD and AI assisted analysis.

This role is part of an AI first software engineering organization where Artificial Intelligence is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes using modern AI assisted development practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

.Lead business discovery, requirements elicitation, and functional analysis for complex enterprise solutions.
.Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to define business capabilities and business processes.
.Develop business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
.Ensure complete traceability between business needs, solution design, development, and testing.
.Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to translate business needs into executable delivery backlog.
.Leverage the BMAD framework and AI assisted analysis techniques to improve speed and documentation quality.
.Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, and solution validation activities.
.Maintain high quality documentation and support continuous improvement of business processes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

.8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst delivering enterprise software solutions.
.Strong experience leading business discovery, requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and functional specification development.
.Telecommunications industry experience within complex enterprise environments is preferred.
.Demonstrated experience working within an AI enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC).
.Hands on experience using the Business Model Assisted Development (BMAD) framework or a comparable AI native delivery methodology.
.Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, business rules, and functional requirements.
.Strong understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies.
.Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Development, and Quality Engineering teams.
.Excellent facilitation, analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
.Strong documentation and business modeling capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
.Experience supporting large scale enterprise modernization or digital transformation programs.
.Experience with BPMN, UML, or similar process modeling techniques.
.Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.
.CBAP, PMI PBA, Agile Analysis, or equivalent business analysis certification.
Experience within highly regulated industries.
.Experience leveraging AI assisted business analysis tools to improve requirements quality and collaboration.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
