Under the strategic and operational guidance of the Director of Financial Operations, the Senior Budget Analyst serves as a senior financial professional supporting the University's Finance Division and collaborating across all departments. This position performs complex financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning to support institutional priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Budget Analyst develops advanced financial models, coordinates critical budget processes, provides expert financial guidance to departments, and delivers analytical insights that support executive decision-making. The position contributes to process improvements and enhances the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of university-wide budgeting activities.

Act as the primary finance partner to assigned divisions, providing guidance on budget development, financial performance, and resource allocation.

Facilitate monthly and quarterly financial review meetings with departments by presenting financial trends, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.

Work directly with the Director of Financial operations and budget team members in preparing annual budgets, mid-year & year-end projections. As well as, ensuring accuracy and alignment with institutional financial objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree - Field of study: Finance, Accounting or related Business field.

At least five years of experience in a finance (budgeting/accounting) role, preferably in higher education.

Desired Qualifications:

Master's degree - Field of study: MBA Finance/Accounting.

Working knowledge of Banner Finance or comparable financial system, preferably within a higher education environment.

Salary Range:

$68,000 - $93,500

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
