We9re hiring our first dedicated Brand / Marketing Designer to own how Stepful9s brand shows up across every marketing surface - print and digital. Today our marketing design lives across contractors and borrowed product design time; you9ll bring it in-house and build the unified design system that makes every landing page, deck, one-pager, and piece of collateral unmistakably Stepful. You9ll give form to our story: our Product Marketing Manager owns messaging and positioning, and you own how it looks and feels.
This role reports directly to the Head of Design, who sets the high-level creative vision, and partners closely with Product Marketing, Growth, and our B2B teams.
This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our NYC office, requiring three days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in office.
What you9ll do:- Own Stepful9s applied brand across all marketing surfaces - marketing websites, landing pages, decks, one-pagers, digital assets, print, swag, and event collateral
- Build and maintain a unified print and digital marketing design system - templates, components, and guidelines that let the team produce on-brand work without bespoke design each time
- Rebuild and elevate our core marketing surfaces on that system, including stepful.com marketing pages, our employer-facing site, sales decks, and core collateral
- Partner with our Product Marketing Manager in a tight working rhythm - they supply message and positioning, you deliver the visual form, with fast turnaround on launches and campaigns
- Design polished, on-voice B2B client-facing materials that are accessible by default (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Design landing pages and campaign assets for paid and lifecycle marketing, partnering with Growth on conversion experiments
- Bring print, swag, and event collateral production in-house with a consistent visual identity
- Raise the bar on brand consistency across every touchpoint as Stepful scales
What you9ll bring:- 4+ years of brand or marketing design experience with a portfolio spanning both print and digital work
- Experience architecting marketing design systems - templates, components, and guidelines - not just producing within them
- Exceptional craft in typography, layout, and visual identity
- Strong digital design skills, including Figma and modern web tooling (e.g., Webflow), with a solid grasp of responsive and conversion-oriented design
- Working knowledge of accessible design and WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Ability to manage many concurrent projects at speed without letting quality slip
- Strong collaboration instincts - you thrive on translating a partner9s messaging into visuals and iterating quickly on feedback
Bonus points if:- You have motion design, animation, or video editing skills
- You9ve designed enterprise or B2B sales collateral
- You9ve worked in EdTech, healthcare, or another mission-driven industry

The target base salary range for this opportunity is $110,000 - $130,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
