Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and skilled statistician with experience in the diagnostics industry to fill the role of Sr Biostatistician. The position is responsible for applying model statistical techniques to clinical studies and to play a key role in the development/validation of CareDx products in Solid Organ Transplantation. In addition, the Sr Biostatistician will provide statistical support to various projects and initiatives within the company. This is a technical role having key interfaces with personnel from Medicare Affairs, Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management and Laboratory Operations. For highly qualified candidates, this position may be offered at the Staff level, commensurate with experience, expertise, and demonstrated impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide statistical expertise for design, analysis and reporting of clinical studies
  • Collaborate with various functions on study design and planning, protocol development, statistical methodology and analysis.
  • Perform sample size calculations
  • Perform statistical ad hoc analysis.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and analysis specifications.
  • Develop analytical pipelines and QC the results.
  • Collaborate with data management and clinical operations to ensure robust CRF and database development and quality data collection.
  • Collaborate in publications, assist in data interpretation, and ensure consistency and accuracy in data presentation
  • Represent biostatistics on study/project teams.

Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master in statistics, mathematics, computational methods, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with a PhD degree or 5 years of experience with a Master degree working in biotech or related industry;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal and project management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in R required, SAS optional.

This is the anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Brisbane, California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. San Francisco Bay Area Roles

$124,000-$155,000 USD
