Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• 8+ years in Computer Aided Drafting for Electrical Commercial Construction.
• CAD associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Electrical field or theory associate's degree required.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards required.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit software.
• Experience with Navisworks for BIM interaction required.
• Strong understanding of construction blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter capable of both team collaboration and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D models in Revit and Navisworks from field superintendent layouts.
• Conduct BIM coordination and resolve clashes using Navisworks Manage.
• Upload models and follow General Contractor's lead through BIM coordination process to Model Sign Off.
• Mentor BIM Designers and Detailers for skill development.
• Collaborate with BIM Manager/VDC Director to maintain project BIM budgets.
• Foster strong relationships with operations team and trade partners.
• Engage with engineering during model creation for design/build projects.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Revit templates and graphic standards.
• Produce Bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking.
