Job Description
The Commercial Insights & Analytics (CIA) team turns complex commercial data into clear, trusted answers leaders can act on. We're looking for a Senior BI Developer & Commercial Analyst to strengthen the way our team delivers insight every day-owning Power BI models, improving reporting reliability, modernizing legacy dashboards, and helping rebuild our commercial data foundation in Databricks.
If you like solving messy data problems, moving fast, and creating tools that make smarter decisions easier, this role has your name written somewhere in DAX.
Key Outcomes:
- Own and improve the CIA Power BI environment, including semantic models, DAX, Power Query, refreshes, gateways, security, and report distribution.
- Take over existing Excel-based reports and Power BI dashboards, ensuring business continuity while improving speed, accuracy, and usability.
- Rebuild and maintain the commercial data layer in Databricks in partnership with IT and Finance.
- Support the migration of legacy Qlik reporting into Power BI with input from Commercial subject matter experts.
- Build workflow automations for data intake, surveys, reporting packages, and recurring distribution needs.
- Use AI tools, including Claude, to accelerate reporting, analysis, documentation, and automation workflows.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis, forecasting support, market sizing, share insights, and customer-trend reporting for strategic commercial initiatives.
Do you have what it takes?
You'll do well here if you're naturally curious, highly accountable, and comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity. This role needs someone who can move quickly without sacrificing trust in the data, explain technical concepts in plain language, and partner well with IT, Finance, Commercial teams, and senior leaders.
You should be comfortable owning your work, asking smart questions, and prioritizing what matters most when timelines shift. A strong sense of urgency helps. A sense of humor doesn't hurt either.
Additional qualifications and information:
- Bachelor's degree required; technical, data, business, or scientific majors highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications preferred, such as Microsoft PL-300, Databricks certification, or similar.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, commercial analytics, commercial operations, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining production BI solutions, preferably in Power BI.
- Strong Power BI skills, including semantic/tabular models, DAX, Power Query, scheduled refreshes, gateways, DirectQuery/Import connections, row-level security, subscriptions, and workspace management.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working in Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
- Experience translating legacy reporting, such as Qlik, into Power BI preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
- Experience with AI-enabled workflows, prompt design, or tools such as Claude preferred.
- Statistical modeling, machine learning, or claims data experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
- In-office expectations and travel requirements to be confirmed based on business needs.
The annualized base salary range for this role is $99,100 to $155,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
