We're looking for a Senior Benefits Analyst to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Benefits, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing benefits and retirement programs across Canada and the U.S. This role will support the growth of our business by ensuring our benefits programs align with our Total Rewards strategy, helping to create an environment where Lightspeeders can thrive.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop, implement, and manage group benefits, retirement savings, and perks programs aligned with Lightspeed's global benefits strategy.
  • Lead the annual benefits renewal, and support with the open enrollment process.
  • Oversee the selection and management of vendors for benefits and retirement plans, ensuring they meet performance and service expectations.
  • Support with administration and continuous improvement of leave of absence programs, including but not limited to short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and other leave types across Canada, and the U.S.
  • Develop and track key metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify trends.
  • Collaborate with global brokers to assess market trends and align programs with the company's global strategy.
  • Work closely with HRIS, payroll, business partners, and other stakeholders to identify system needs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data flow and accessibility.
  • Provide support to employees and HR teams on escalated issues, resolving complex situations.

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
  • Strong experience managing benefits programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs in Canada and the U.S.
  • Experience in vendor and broker management, including the RFP process.
  • Expertise in leaves management (e.g., disability, parental leave).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Intermediate experience with Excel.
  • A passion for building and optimizing processes, with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication in English. As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Experience with benefits programs in the EMEA and APAC regions.
  • Experience using Workday.

At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skill set, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the total compensation for this position to be in the range of $85,000 TO 100,000 CAD. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, RRSP plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off.
